Providing exceptional veterinary medicine to every patient, every day.

Our veterinary hospital has changed a lot since the days we mostly served dairy farms, and so has the area around us, but what hasn’t changed is our compassion and our dedication to our patients, big and small.

We offer comprehensive wellness exams and preventative care for our small animal patients, including vaccinations, parasite control, and senior screening, surgical services, dentistry, and emergency veterinary services. Our pet hospital includes an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, ultrasound, and endoscopy capabilities.

For our large animal patients, our veterinarians provide ambulatory routine healthcare including vaccinations and parasite control, herd health services, lameness examinations, pre-purchase exams, equine dentistry, and emergency veterinary services. We have portable radiology and ultrasound equipment available as well as our in-house laboratory and pharmacy services.

Our goal is to provide exceptional care for all patients, and our veterinarians and veterinary staff are dedicated to doing just that. At Amesbury Animal Hospital, we are a family. We currently employ five certified veterinary technicians, as well as an ever-growing number of employees as technicians, veterinary assistants, managers, receptionists, laboratory staff, and animal care assistants — some of which have been with us for over twenty plus years.

Our Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Education, and Respect are the fundamental, ethical, moral, and professional business beliefs of our veterinary hospital.

These beliefs and principles serve to form the foundation of our culture for desired personal conduct and interpersonal relationships – or more simply “how to behave and how to treat people”. We have these values displayed in our veterinary hospital as a constant reminder of why we are here and how we influence the community.

We invite you to learn more about our veterinary practice’s Core Values.

We believe that it is our integrity that keeps clients returning to our animal hospital again and again. Honest and ethical behavior is paramount in any medical facility, and you can trust that we will serve your animals with this in mind. When there is mutual honesty and trust between veterinary staff and their clients, we know that we will be able to provide better, more accurate, and responsible care.

For us, this means caring for the patients we serve and the people who love them. We know that seeing a veterinarian can be a stressful experience for small animals and that large animals can also find it a difficult experience even when we bring the care to their home. We treat each animal with kindness and understanding and do our best to extend that understanding to the animal owners, our clients, as well. Our veterinarians know that not every plan works for each client’s lifestyle, so we always have a plan B or C to help accommodate every patient to find the best-suited veterinary solution.

From our state-of-the-art equipment including our on-site surgical and diagnostic capabilities for small animals, as well as our mobile ambulatory vehicles to serve large animals from communities across Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, our dedicated staff and veterinarians strive for excellence in all that we do. At Amesbury Animal Hospital, we want every facet of our veterinary team to strive to do our best in each situation, no matter how challenging. We all work together as a team in order to provide exceptional care for all animals.

As veterinary professionals, we are committed to sharing our knowledge of pet and animal care with you. Whether we’re looking after your cats, dogs, horses, or other livestock, we hope to have regular checkups and appointments with your animals to ensure the best preventative care. At the same time, we know that they spend most of their days with you, and as pet and animal owners we want you to be as equipped as you possibly can to ensure they have long happy, and healthy lives.

We live by “The Golden Rule,” and do our best to treat our clients the same way we would want to be treated if our furry friends or livestock needed veterinary care. We know that we are able to keep our clients because we treat each animal as an individual, instead of resorting to standardized care. When you come to our veterinary clinic, you can trust that you and your animals will be respected throughout each step of the journey.

Our clients can count on 24-hour emergency care for all species.
